We’re Here To Support the Longterm Health of all Yukoners

COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS

We Partner with NGOs, First Nation Governments and Community Organisations

Our collaborations are shaped by the unique strengths, histories, and priorities of each community. Together, we design and deliver culturally-safe nutrition & diabetes education, food-skills programs, and wellness initiatives that support long-term, practical change.

Whether through hands-on cooking sessions, staff training, counselling support, or resource development, we work alongside communities to create programming that is accessible, inclusive, and relevant to daily life. Our approach is grounded in respect, relationship-building, and a shared commitment to healthier futures for all Yukoners.

HOW WE WORK

A Collaborative, Culturally-Respectful Approach

Complete our brief intake form (click here) to let us know what type of programs you are looking to run in your community, organization, or workplace.

  2. Initial Conversation
We meet to understand your community’s goals, strengths, and challenges.

  3. Program Design

PAST COLLABORATIONS

We've Travelled All Over Yukon to Build Community

Check out some of our previous community collaborations we've done.

  • Joline has been working with White River First Nations to increase the accessibility of nutrition support in Beaver Creek! Since January 2023, we have been doing diabetes education for community members, community kitchen programs with the White River First Nation healthcare team, and free nutrition counseling for WRFN citizens. Joline also hosted a workshop at the White River First Nation Women's Cultural Camp, and will be working with the school team in Fall 2024.

  • We were thrilled when Coach Kim reached out seeking nutrition information for the competitive gymnasts at Polarettes! Parents learned all about supporting their athletes to fuel up throughout training weeks and at competitions, build positive relationships with food and their bodies, and get everyone involved in meal planning and cooking. Then, it was the gymnasts' turn to learn how to fuel their working/ growing brains and bodies AND get their hands dirty with breakfast and snack prep. We had a blast and can't wait to be back!

Various homemade foods including lasagna in a foil container, zucchini soup in sealed bags, a batch of vegan banana muffins, and other dishes, all labeled with handwritten notes indicating they were made on November 6, 2022.
  • We were invited by Blood Ties to do a series of workshops for their Wellness Wednesday Workshop Series. Some of the workshops Sunrise Nutrition provided were Nutrition For Every Day, Cooking Class and Eating Well on a Budget. We learned a lot, cooked and shared a meal together, and discussed how to cook and eat well with less.  It was so great to hear participants say “Yea - we made it!” when sharing food with other community members!

This is Why We Do What We Do

  •  “This afternoon I took part in the Sunrise Nutrition  workshop. Lovely way to spend 3 hours prepping for the week ahead. Committing to meal prepping is tough, make it easy and set yourself up for success with sunrise. I'm excited to take part in upcoming classes 🙌  ☺”

    ~ Mandy J.

  • “I LOVED the freezer meal workshop I attended, thanks to Joline. Prepping healthy meals at the start of the week is such a valuable skill for those of us who feel short on time. I left the workshop feeling like I could do so more efficiently. Also, the good company, recipes, tips and tricks and the large portions of food I went home with didn't hurt at all!”
