Founded in 2020, Sunrise Nutrition began with a commitment to supporting prenatal nutrition programs and has since partnered with non-profit organizations and First Nations governments across the Yukon. In May 2022, Joline left her job to fully dedicate herself to
Sunrise Nutrition, leading the company to expand its offerings with workshops and cooking classes starting in the fall of 2022. Continuing our mission to promote healthy living, we have been developing innovative meal prep and planning solutions since the fall of 2023.
At Sunrise Nutrition, our mission is to make nutrition education, food skills programs, and healthy food more accessible to everyone. We are dedicated to understanding and supporting the unique needs of Yukon communities in relation to food, nutrition, and health. We believe in inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that our services are purpose-driven and beneficial for all.
With a Registered Dietitian like Joline leading Sunrise Nutrition, our company thrives on expertise and inspiration. As a Certified Diabetes Educator, Joline is passionate about the power of food to enhance lives and improve health. She simplifies the science of nutrition, free from fads. Growing up in a small town, Joline understands rural challenges and helps people navigate the overwhelming online information. Her collaborative approach makes nutrition a delightful journey.
Kamille, the newest member of our team, has a wealth of knowledge from working for First Nations organizations on Vancouver Island, and with mental health counseling services across Canada. Her shared values of supporting wellness from a whole-person approach and giving people practical skills and tools to support themselves make her an excellent fit with Sunrise Nutrition and Wellness.
At Sunrise Nutrition and Wellness, we provide practical support for improving nutrition and mental health. We offer personalized nutrition and mental health counseling in-person in Whitehorse, and virtually to reach remote communities across the Yukon.
Our meal kits (inspired by Hello Fresh, but with a local twist) make it easier for Yukoners to enjoy nutritious meals. We are committed to sourcing local ingredients, collaborating with other Yukon food businesses, and supporting local food initiatives.
We continuously innovate to meet evolving health trends and engage in policy discussions to improve food security and nutrition standards in Yukon communities.
We partner with NGOs and First Nations governments to increase access to dietitian services and programs for all citizens. By collaborating with local businesses, we support Yukoners and keep financial resources within our communities. Additionally, we are dedicated to supporting local food systems to ensure sustainable, community-driven nutrition solutions.
